The Mane Attraction starts where book 2 left off, with Smitty and Jessie Ann's wedding. Sissy (wolf shifter and Smitty's sister) and her good buddy Mitch (lion shifter and Brendon Shaw's brother) are trying to have fun, despite Sissy trying to avoid her bitch of a mother, and Mitch being too busy thinking about the bounty on his head.

After an almost successful attempt on Mitch's life has been made, Sissy decides to take him to where she thinks he'll be most safe. Where does she take him? Back to a place she herself hates visiting, her childhood home in Smithtown. Once there Sissy has to face her older brother (who has plans to be the next alpha) without the protection of her pack or her father. She knows it's going to be bad for her, but it's the only place she feels Mitch will be safe.

Throw in a shifter only football game, a shifter only NASCAR type race, and a crazy car scene with Sissy and Ronnie Lee, and you've got yourself an action packed romance with some great sex. This book has everything really.

Two people more alike I don't think you'll ever meet. Both Mitch and Sissy are huge s*** stirrers. They live for starting s*** and watching the aftermath. But together, their attraction is hot, sweet and funny all rolled into one.

I have read all 9 books in this series, and from memory this is by far the funniest. All the previous books were funny, but I feel that from here the 'funny' reaches a new level and stays there.

I love this book! Sissy Mae and Mitch are so much fun. They are friends trying to keep each other in the friend box. All bets are off when Mitch is hurt. Sissy Mae bundles him up and takes him to the safest place she knows, home to TN.

In TN, Sissy Mae and Mitch dive into a friends with benefits and boundaries relationship. Together, they face family, their friends and foes. Through it all, they realize they love each other.

This is a great book and wonderful fun.
I swear I love this woman more with each book I read. I'm kind of obsessed with this series, which is a good thing I found it so late. I'll be reading this one and all her others.

I guess there should be a little something in this review about the book itself, huh? Mitch and Sissy are great together. Their relationship kind of reminds me of The relationship between The Beast and Gwenvael the Handsome (Dragon Kin series by G A Aiken) but where B&G were politically savvy in their shit-starting, Mitch and Sissy don't mind starting it with anyone and everyone. I'm a little bit country so Sissy and her Tennessee family (I've never been) speak to my little country heart. Mitch is the adorably hot guy that you can't help but love. Don't worry, he expects no less because he's amazing. He'll tell you that himself. As always there are plenty of laughs, which is why I'll keep tossing this woman my money.
This book was funny, exciting & had lots of sex scenes & fighting scenes.

Sissy Mae Smith is a Female Alpha who saves the big funny cat by taking him back home to Tennessee; the place where she grew up & didn't want to ever come back too. Especially since her Mama & her don't get along.

Mitchell (Mitch) Shaw was at one time a undercover detective, but now works at Mace & Smitty's Security place while waiting for a trial to commence in order for him to testify against an Irish criminal. But, while he's waiting he almost gets killed because there's a bounty on his head & after being shot Sissy Mae takes him home to Tennessee.

While there the 2 of them slowly start to fall in love with each other & eventually near the end of the book finally admit that to each other. But, the fun times to be had in this book is what happens in the middle of their romance & that you will have to read & find out for yourselves.
I do like this series. I really loved the characters. I have to admit this moved a little slow for me especially most of the first half. Let me tell you Sissy Mae is quite a character. She is certainly an alpha female and she is crazy and can kick some major butt! Mitch is downright cute and funny. He's led a mysterious life lately until it sorta came out in the last book. Undercover cop and now he's having to testify until someone tries to kill him. Mitch and Sissy have been friends for awhile. At least thats what they've told themselves. To protect him until the trial and after the near death issue she takes him home to Smithville. Let me tell you that was an experience. She's got brothers there but since Bobby Ray is on his honeymoon he wasnt there but makes an appearance later. Her other brothers Jackie, Sammy, Donnie, and Travis are there. She doesnt get along at all with Travis. He seems to think he'll be taking over when Bubba retires as pack alpha. He's jealous of Sissy because he could never get her to submit. She's an alpha female how can he expect her to? Anyways, he's always disliked her and disrespects her. Brothers shouldnt do that to sisters and it baffles Sammy. Other than Bobby Ray he's good to her and treats her like a sister. Defends her. Funny thing is its all realized later that Travis will never be the alpha but Sammy will someday because he's got a level head and isn't so quick to be so unfair. Travis wants it for the wrong reasons...power. Her other 2 brothers kinda go along with Travis. Dont worry he gets his butt handed to him by Sissy. Funniest scene to me was when her ex boyfriend Gil from when she was 16 comes back and tries to force her into a mating. Its a bad deal and not something that is tolerated. He sure gets his ass handed to him by Bobby Ray and Sissy. Then Mitch and Brendan comes flying through and they toss him like a ball in between them shaking the crap outta him. It was just a funny deal there. He lived through it but wont be walking anytime soon. The question is will Mitch be able to tame Sissy Mae? Does Mitch want to? They both fight it hard but love succeeds in the end.
